Bentley has made a renewed effort for the Netherlands market by signing a partnership agreement with Pon, a company with over 60 years expertise in the prestige car market.

The new Bentley dealership, located in Leusden, will offer a complete range of sales and aftersales services.

Pons Automobielhandel is a part of Pon Holdings, which is considered among the largest familyowned businesses in the Netherlands and draws from 60 years of experience in the luxury car segment.

Debuting in the new Mazda CX5 compact crossover SUV, the Mazda SKYACTIV technology, which is, has won its second UK motor industry award.

The award from industry publication Fleet World comes in the same week that the new Mazda CX5 goes on UK sale.

The Editors Award in the 2012 Fleet World Honours was presented at a special ceremony held at the Royal Automobile Club in London 16 May.

According to Mazda, SKYACTIV technologys three key attributes are economy, safety and performance. The company said the technology would redraw the automotive landscape as it is gradually rolled out across the Mazda lineup with the launch of new models.

Steve Moody, editor of Fleet World and chairman of the awards judging panel, which also included members of the publications editorial team, said: Mazdas brilliantly innovative SKYACTIV drivetrain has been in development for a few years, and now it is here, proving itself on the road to be every bit as good as we thought.

The new Vauxhall Combo range has expanded to include models that will be drive by 1.4 petrol engine, Vauxhall Commercial Vehicles announced.

The 95PS Euro 5compliant new Vauxhall Combo unit will be available in L1H1 and L2H1 body types. The engine also features Start/Stop technology achieving CO2 emissions of 163g/km and 40.3mpg combined on the short wheelbase model.

The Vauxhall Corsavan range sees the addition of a new engine option, a 1.2 petrol unit also with Start/Stop. The new Corsavan engine will have CO2 of 119g/km, a saving of 5g/km over the standard 1.2 engine, and 55.4mpg combined.

Steve Bryant, brand manager, Vauxhall Commercial Vehicle,s said: The inclusion of new petrol engines to the New Combo and Corsavan ranges is in response to increased customer demand. Certain Vauxhall customers want the option of a petrol engine especially with respect to both current fuel prices and the operators specific working environment.

Vauxhall reportedly builds over 70,000 commercial vehicles at its plants in Luton, Bedfordshire and Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. It has also sold more vans at retail in 2011 than any other manufacturer.

The Lutonbased manufacturer sold 11,436 vans to small businesses last year with sales up 28.05 per cent in a market up 8.32 per cent.

Automotive artist Ian Cook has created an image of the new Chevrolet Volt using paint that reacts to ultraviolet light, thereby making it glow against the board on which it is created.

The image is based on a nocturnal image of the new Chevrolet Volt in London shot by car photographer Dominic Fraser, and in normal light looks like a fairly bright and prominent artwork, but when it is hit by ultraviolet black light, the image comes to life and appears to rise in front of its background.

Cook from Solihull, W Midlands, created the image in a mostly dark studio using radiocontrolled Chevrolet Camaro models, themselves dipped in UV paint, primarily so they could be visible in the studio.

He said: This is, quite simply, the hardest piece of work Ive ever created. I was more or less creating it blind.

The idea was to create an image that was as innovative and mouldbreaking as the Chevrolet Volt itself, while at the same time keeping in mind its electric powertrain. Chevrolet was one of the first vehicle manufacturers to fully recognise my radiocontrolled car art and, indeed, make the most of it. As the Volt takes electric motoring to a new level, I wanted to take my art to a new level by doing something completely new and different.

The new Chevrolet Volt was completed during a threeday car art workshop held at the headquarters of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) in London, during which Cook demonstrated his art in interactive sessions to school children and art students.

Peugeot announces SE specials for Roland Garros Peugeot has announced two highlyspecified Roland Garros Special Edition Coup Cabriolet cars.

The new Citroen Nemo has been crowned with the Best Light Van Award at the 2012 Van Fleet World Honours.

Volkswagen will be fitting DAB radios as standard on all its models spanning from the Polo to the Phaeton.

The change means all 2013 modelyear Volkswagens, from the Polo to the Phaeton, will be ready for the UKs switch to digital radio.

All of Volkswagens audio systems will still be able to pick up conventional FM or AM analogue radio signals as well as play audio CDs (including MP3 files). Every model in the Volkswagen range comes with an auxin socket, to allow the connection of external audio devices such as an iPod or MP3 player.

In addition, every model from the Polo S upwards now comes with at least six speakers (the majority of models have eight speakers), connected to a standard RCD 310 audio unit or better.

Upgrade options include the MDI multidevice interface, which allows easy connection of iPods or USB sticks, which can then be controlled via the cars audio system; Bluetooth connection of compatible telephones; Bluetooth music playback; audiophilepleasing speakers and amplifiers from Danish specialist Dynaudio; higherpower audio systems with colour touchscreen controls and an SD memory card slot; and touchscreen satellite navigation systems, including with builtin HD memory. Beetle models may also be optionally ordered with an audio system developed in conjunction with legendary guitar and amplifier manufacturer, Fender.

The 2013 modelyear vehicles can now be ordered from Volkswagen retailer.

Motoring website Honest John has rated Lexus as the top performer in an analysis of MoT pass rates.

The analysis of MoT records obtained by honestjohn.co.uk revealed that an average of 88.2 per cent of Lexus cars registered in 2008 passed their first MoT, against a national average of 80 per cent.

Lexus is also the best performing manufacturer when analysing all MoT records, with a pass rate of 75.3 per cent. MoT data has been collected since 1980, a total of 24.5 million records.

Richard Balshaw, director of Lexus GB, said: These results reinforce the simple message that, if you buy a Lexus, you are buying a car that is of the highest quality.

The research by honestjohn.co.uk involved examining millions of records obtained from the Vehicle Operator and Services Agency (VOSA) through the Governments OpenData scheme. Now honestjohn.co.uk is publishing it as The MoT Files at honestjohn.co.uk/mot. It is the first time such information will have ever been available to the public in such detail.

The new Ford Focus has been rated the best diesel medium car by Diesel Car magazine at its 2012 awards.

According to Diesel Car magazine, the new Ford Focus was selected as a result of its buyers being particularly attracted by its style and contemporary cabin.

Diesel Car magazine editor Ian Robertson said: Still the one to beat among midsize family cars, the Ford Focus is simply the best in its class.

Since its launch in 1998, the new Ford Focus has passed 1,500,000 sales since its launch in 1998 and continues to dominate its segment. The car is recognised for its driver assistance technologies and its 1.6 TDCi which emits 109g CO2/km while returning 67mpg.

Andy Barratt, Ford Britain sales director, said: Around 50 per cent of Focus cars bought are diesels and we look forward to welcoming the Focus ECOnetic Technology to the range shortly. This will offer 83.1mpg, making it the most fuelefficient nonhybrid family car currently available in Europe.

This independent endorsement recognises Focuss allround appeal, as well as the UKbased Ford engineers and manufacturing specialists responsible for the diesel powertrains.

The new Nissan NV200 won the best small trades van award at the Trade Van Driver magazines annual awards.

The new Nissan NV200 was judged to be the best in class for its significant storage capacity and huge versatility.

Matt Eisenegger, editor of Trade Van Driver, said: This small van with the big interior is now becoming a common sight on the UKs roads.

Vauxhall will be replacing the core of its petrol and diesel lineup in the next 12 months with three new engines.

The first one, a new 1.6litre turbo petrol engine with direct injection and Start/Stop technology, is expected to cut CO2 emissions by 13 per cent, compared with its predecessor, the company said.

The fourcylinder SIDI (spark ignition direct injection) ECOTEC engine will be available in various outputs and across several car lines.

Vauxhall said the engines levels of torque, combined with its linearity, reduced noise, performance and low fuel consumption will be its high points.

The company confirmed its engineers had achieved maximum torque of 300Nm from 1700rpm, resulting in a classleading specific output of 187.5Nm per litre. Peak power also increased to 200PS at 4700rpm up 20PS versus the existing 1.6T.

Duncan Aldred, chairman and managing director, Vauxhall Motors, said: The quality, reliability and driveability of our cars are improving at an unprecedented rate. Replacing core engine ranges with highoutput, high efficiency units will enhance our cars appeal still further and reinforce our commitment to producing firstclass products.

Vauxhalls first spark ignition direct injection engine, the 155PS 2.2litre ECOTEC, was first seen in the 2003 Signum and Vectra models, followed by the Zafira. Today, the Insignia 2.0litre turbo continues the direct injection theme, and is currently available with 220PS and up to 250PS in some European markets.

This summer, the new Astra VXR will adopt a tuned version of the same engine, with a bespoke cylinder head and turbocharger, said to produce 280PS, yet produces CO2 emissions of just 189g/km.

It will begin production at the Szentgotthardt plant in Hungary will begin in late 2012.

The new Chevrolet Trax is the new small sport utility vehicle that will join the Chevrolet portfolio and make its debut at the Paris Motor Show in September 2012.

Susan Docherty, president and managing director, Chevrolet Europe, said: Trax provides Chevrolet an entry into a growing small SUV segment and delivers the flexibility, great fuel economy and carlike handling that urban explorers require.

The new Chevrolet Trax comes with room for five passengers and bigger cargo space and will be available to customers in over 140 markets.

To arrive at European Chevrolet dealerships in spring of 2013, the new Chevrolet Trax will follow the introduction of the new Chevrolet Malibu and the new Chevrolet Cruze station wagon in 2012.

The new Chevrolet Trax has been designed to reflect a muscular exterior design and wide athletic stance, the carmaker said.

The new Chrysler 300C executive saloon, flagship of the Chrysler brand, will go on sale in the UK in June.

Having had its US launch at the Detroit Auto Show in 2011, the new Chrysler 300C will become available in two dieselpowered versions, for which UK prices have just been announced.

Prices for the new Chrysler 300C start at 35,995 OTR for the 300C Limited, which is said to combine Europeanstyle quality and finesse with Americanstyle comfort and high levels of equipment as standard.

The highly specified 300C Executive is priced at 39,995, an OTR price that includes adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring system, forward collision warning, keyless entry, powered rear sunshade, and heated and ventilated Nappa leather seats among its standard features.

The new Chrysler 300C will be available from the start with a 3.0litre V6 diesel engine designed to produce 236bhp and 540Nm of torque and returning 39.8 mpg (Combined) fuel economy and a CO2 figure of 185191g/km depending on wheel size, the company said.

Standard equipment on the entrylevel Limited version includes heated front and rear seats, load levelling suspension and height control, LED daytime running lamps, electronic stability control (ESC), hill start assist, active head restraints, and curtain, side, front and rear airbags.

The car will feature an allnew lightweight body, new flatsix engines with direct petrol injection, a completely revised chassis and evolutionary styling.

The German carmaker announced that core to the new Porsche Boxster will be its midengined layout designed to deliver renowned poise and balance combined with precise, agile handling.

The new model will weigh up to 35kg less than previous, have a 60mm longer wheelbase, widened track on the front and rear axles, and larger wheels and tyres to significantly enhance the performance of the new car by notably increasing its stability and agility.

In fact, when equipped for optimal driving dynamics the new Boxster S is likely to lap the NrburgringNordschleife in 7:58 minutes, 12 seconds faster than its predecessor.

Among its other new features will be its ability to deliver up to 15 per cent greater fuel efficiency. The new Porsche Boxster will be powered by a choice of charismatic flatsix engines with direct petrol injection.

The midmounted power unit fitted in the Boxster will deliver 265 hp (195 kW) from a 2.7 litre displacement, 10 hp more than its larger capacity 2.9litre predecessor.

Technically, it is now based on the 3.4litre engine of the Boxster S. The 3.4litre will deliver 315 hp (232 kW), 5 hp more than before. Both models feature a manual sixspeed gearbox as standard, with the sevenspeed dualclutch Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) available as an option.

The philosophy of Porsche Intelligent Performance makes the new car not only the fastest Boxster ever, but also the most efficient roadster the company has ever made, the company said.

The latest TGI intel indicates that young driver car ownership dropped 12 per cent between 2010 and 2011 and figure is set to drop even further with a break in the increasing cost of motoring seeming unlikely.

In an attempt to support young drivers and keep them on the road, Peugeot is extending its unique Just Add Fuel scheme to include drivers from 21 years of age.

Just Add Fuel is being defined as a simple car ownership solution that would allow drivers to purchase a brand new Peugeot by covering all the major motoring costs in one single fixed monthly payment.

Previously only available to those drivers aged 25 and above, Peugeot has extended the age range so that anyone over the age of 21 can now take advantage of the scheme.

The allinclusive, inflation proof three year package provides comprehensive motor insurance, road tax, vehicle servicing, roadside assistance and warranty all in a three year finance package with one single monthly payment.

Neil Moscrop, director of sales at Peugeot, said: With insurance premiums for young drivers spiralling, there is little incentive to buy a car when the amount needed to run it seems so overwhelming.

Owning a car offers a great sense of independence and freedom to young drivers and for many is their main way of commuting, so it is important that this age group isnt put off from buying and running cars indefinitely.

The new Nissan JukeR crossover will be made available to buy in a very limited run on buildtoorder basis, the Japanese carmaker announced.

The new Nissan JukeR is a 3.8litre, 160mph car that made its global debut in Dubai in January this year. Nissan has now received firm orders for three cars to be built with two coming from members of Dubai society.

More new Nissan JukeRs will be built upon request and the company will be taking orders in the coming four weeks, before production starts in earnest.

While the original JukeR was based on the MY10 GTR running gear, the run of new cars will feature the drivetrain and chassis of the MY12 GTR and, with the build of the first cars underway, the first three cars will be delivered to their new owners in late summer.

Gareth Dunsmore, marketing product manager for the Juke, said: The JukeR was originally intended as a oneoff concept to marry two of Nissans most innovative models. But the reaction we had to the car in Dubai was amazing , people were making offers for the original on the street.

With such a strong reaction, and with three genuine offers on the table, we decided we had to make the car a reality. We cant let down enthusiasts who are this keen to add to their collection of cars. The JukeR has become something of a phenomenon and I am enormously proud of the impact it has had. The new Kia K9, the makers luxury flagship saloon, has gone on sale in Korea. The new rearwheel drive will be launched in a number of key overseas markets starting in the fourth quarter of 2012.

The new Kia K9 measures 5,090 mm in overall length and 3,045 mm in wheelbase. Its width and height meanwhile are 1,900 mm and 1,490 mm, respectively.

Initially, K9 will be available in some overseas markets powered by an upgraded 290 ps Lambda V6 3.8litre MPI engine, with a 334 ps 3.8litre GDI engine joining the global engine lineup next year.

The new Kia K9 will premiere advanced luxury features and technologies, including fully adaptive allLED headlamps, Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), radarbased BlindSpot Detection (BSD), a 17speaker Lexicon (by Harman) sound system, Smart Cruise Control (SCC) and an AroundView Monitor (AVM) with four cameras.

Official figures released recently have placed the new Fiat 500 back into the overall Top 10 new car registrations list for last month.

More than four years after its introduction in the UK, private registrations of the new Fiat 500 grew by 14.8 per cent in April and are considered one of the reasons for a general increase in new car sales, according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).

According to the release, an estimated 2,600 Fiat 500s were sold in the UK last month, putting it in the tenth place in the Best Sellers list. The result enabled Fiat to a total of 3675 sales for the month, up almost 25 per cent on the figure of 2941 for the same period in 2011. Year to date sales of 16,734 are up 9.5 per cent on last year.

Ferrari Owners Clubs from Ireland and Scotland will meet for the first time in Belfast on Saturday 12 May for a special Ferrari event on the worlds most iconic slipway.

The event, hosted by the Irish Owners Club and Charles Hurst Specialist Cars, will see Ferrari owners take a special tour of Titanic Belfast and use the opportunity to showcase a range of classic and modern Ferrari cars on the slipways where Titanic set sail on her maiden voyage in 1912.

This event will be the first time that Ferrari Owners Clubs from Scotland and Ireland have worked together and is part of a weekendlong programme of events that also includes a scenic drive around the Antrim coast.

Alan Tyndall, the Irish Ferrari Owners Club coordinator, said: The sight of over 20 Ferraris in front of the staggering new Titanic Centre will be an image that will be beamed across the world. We are grateful to the Titanic Centre for allowing us to stage this unique picture opportunity.

The event moves to its new home at ExCel in Londons dockland.

Honda will showcase a selection of its hybrid and British built models as part of the companys Future Garden area besides looking to communicate its news on its environmentally aware manufacturing processes.

Visitors to Hondas Future Garden will be able to view Hondas range of hybrid cars such as CRZ and Jazz Hybrid and British built models such as CRV SUV and new Civic hatchback.

They will also be able to take them for a spin on a speciallyconstructed 3.5 mile road track. Those wishing to test drive can book their spots in advance through the EcoVelocity website or utilise the just turn up offer.

The new TomTom Speed Camera app for iPhone has been launched. It is aimed to give drivers access to fixed and mobile speed camera alerts.

The app is designed to improve driver safety by keeping users informed about speed limits during their journey.

The new TomTom Speed Camera app offers access to TomToms premium Speed Camera service in a standalone app. The app has a new dedicated user interface that is easy to use.

It informs drivers of their speed, the speed limit, the type of camera ahead and the remaining distance to reach it. A colourcoded warning system quickly and effectively alerts users if they need to slow down.

The new Subaru BRZ won the Car of the Year from Vehicle Dynamics International magazine.

The new Subaru BRZs development leader, Toshio Masuda, was named the Dynamicist of the Year by the awards judging panel.

Subaru shares these two Awards with the BRZs nearidentical sister, the new Toyota GT86, and its chief engineer Tetsuya Tada.

Jury panel member and performance car dynamicist Peter Cambridge said the new Subaru BRZ and the new Toyota GT86 were the new generation of affordable rearwheeldrive coupes.

The new Chevrolet Volt, voted European Car of the Year 2012, comes with an electric drive unit that can provide 370Nm of instant torque, an acceleration time of 060mph in 9.0 seconds; and a top speed of 99mph.

The car is said to be capable of covering 2550 miles on a single battery using solely its internally stored electrical energy.

Independent studies have shown this is sufficient to meet the daily needs of 80 per cent of European drivers.

In extendedrange mode, which activates whenever the battery has reached its minimum charge, motive power from a generator is seamlessly inverted to the electric drive unit.

Susan Docherty, president and managing director, Chevrolet Europe, said: The Volt is the first massproduced car that combines the efficiency and carbon footprint of an electric vehicle with a range and degree of flexibility previously unthinkable in this segment. The Chevrolet Volt is the best solution on the planet today for worryfree electric driving.

According to a sample study of early new Chevrolet Volt customers in the US, where the car has been on sale since late 2010, it was revealed they drove 1,000 miles before filling up the fuel tank.

In the UK, the new Chevrolet Volt qualifies for the governments PlugIn Car Grant worth up to 5,000, while it is exempt from the daily congestion charge in London, saving owners up to a further 2,000 per year.

The Volt features two large screens inside wthat replace conventional instruments in front of the driver. They are made to provide essential information and to help the driver use the Volt and its propulsion system as efficiently as possible, depending on individual requirements.

In 2011, the US Insurance Institute for Highway Safety named the Chevrolet Volt its Top Safety Pick while the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration awarded the car a fivestar rating.

One of the oldest playgrounds in London, the Triangle Adventure Playground in Lambeth, has been given a new lease of life by Kia Motors and Trees for Cities.

Staff from Kia Motors and the nearby Kia Oval assisted Trees for Cities and local volunteers in returfing a large area of the playground for local children to use in the coming summer months.

The area previously suffered from wear and tear but with funding from Kia Motors and help from the nearby Kia Oval staff the area has been returfed with hard wearing grass to ensure that the children can fully enjoy their ball games without getting covered in mud.

Set up in 1957 by Marjorie Porter, the Triangle playground is one of the oldest playgrounds run by the local community in London.

It featured large climbing frames, rope swings, and an indoor area for wet weather activities as well as a vegetable garden where children can learn to grow their own vegetables. The area has been enhanced further with help from Trees for Cities with the planting of seven fruit trees and the returfing of the main area.

At the unveiling ceremony on Monday Kia and Trees for Cities staff were joined by local MP Kate Hoey who was also there to see an Elm tree being planted in memory of the playgrounds founder Porter.

Local resident and volunteer Juliet Hobday who assists at the Triangle Adventure Playground and was a key figure in getting the planting, said: The work that has been done by Kia, Trees for Cities and the Kia Oval staff has greatly enhanced the playground.

I am sure the children will love learning about the fruit trees as they grow over the coming years and enjoy eating the fruit when they appear, the newlygrassed area is a great asset and Im sure come the summer there will be many ball games played in the area.

The Triangle Adventure playground is run by local volunteers and residents, for local children, and is greatly used by families throughout the year.

The Porsche Club Hohensyburg in Westphalia, Germany was founded seven passionate Porsche drivers 60 years ago on 26 May, 1952.

According to its articles of association, the common goal of this first club was to unite all Porsche drivers in friendship and comradeship.

In 1961, British enthusiasts of the Stuttgart sports car marque founded the Porsche Club Great Britain, which has developed into the largest Porsche Club organisation in Europe.

Together, the 640 officially recognised Porsche Clubs with their approximately 181,000 members from more than 75 countries currently constitute the worlds largest automotive sector brand club.

The Porsche Clubs live the Porsche brand, seven days a week and 365 days a year, and the high degree to which Club members volunteer their time in celebration of the marque makes them important brand ambassadors.

In appreciation of this dedicated work, the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart is honouring the 60th anniversary of the Porsche Clubs with a special exhibition.

From 26 May to 26 August, the Porsche Museum will be looking back on six decades of exciting Club activities. The Club members special vehicles be on show along with the photographs, documents and small exhibits will also relate their personal stories and experiences.

In addition, all Museum visitors will be invited to select the most beautiful exhibit as part of a Concours dElegance. The choice is between 12 different vehicles, including the twelfth Porsche 356 produced in Zuffenhausen, a Porsche 968 Turbo S and a Porsche 911 Turbo Targa.

The Porsche Museum is open Tuesday to Sunday from 9 am6 pm. Admission is eight Euro for adults and four Euro for concessions. There is free admission for children under the age of 14, accompanied by an adult.

The organisers of the car rally Scottish Malts has invited everyone along the 1,000 mile route through Scotland to get involved and come out to see the cars.

This year, more than 40 classic cars are taking part ranging from the very first right hand drive production Jaguar EType Fixed Head Coupe, supplied by Jaguar Cars in August 1961, to a 1930 Riley Brooklands 9HP and two Jaguar SS100.

Tomas de Vargas Machuca, managing director of the Historic Endurance Rallying Organisation, HERO, alongside Patrick Burke, said: We have attracted some amazing cars from all over the world to take part in this event and we want to make sure that as many people in Scotland see them and enjoy them as possible.

Not only are we publishing the main stopping points on our route but we really want people to come along, see the cars, meet the drivers and enjoy the spectacle, there are some amazing cars which will interest everyone.

The event starts at the Turnberry Hotel in Ayrshire on Sunday 29 April when the public are invited to go along and see the cars arriving between 11.30am in the morning until 4.30pm in the afternoon.

The cars will be started the following morning by Norman Dewis, the Jaguar test driver who drove with Stirling Moss in the 1953 Mille Miglia and was thought to have been responsible for developing the first disc brakes which were fitted to a Jaguar C Type that took part in the 1953 race. Norman will be travelling back to Italy in May with Sir Stirling Moss to celebrate that famous event.

HERO is also inviting the Scottish public to take pictures of the cars and email them to the organisers as part of a major photographic competition split into two classes< children and young people up to the age of 18, and adults.

The winners will receive specially engraved cups and other goodies just as the drivers of the event do.

Burke added: These cars are part of our motoring history and heritage not everyone can take part but they can come along and get involved. We also hope that teachers will feel that the cars are part of our social and engineering history and that pupils might be given a few minutes to see the cars go through their local area.

The new Audi Q5 is the new generation version of the midsize SUV. The car will debut in October on UK roads.

Audi said the new Audi Q5 combines subtle styling revisions and equipment enhancements with power increases and economy gains of up to 15 per cent.

The remodelled range will be available to order from late May priced from circa 33,400 OTR.

The updated new Audi Q5 will arrive in the UK with four engine options: two TDI and two TFSI. All of the engines are designed to combine direct fuel injection with forced induction, and a startstop system is standard in all versions. Audi said that although most of the engines have enhanced performance, their fuel economy has been improved by up to 15 per cent.

According to the combined cycle test the new 2.0 TFSI offers 225PS and 350Nm and can cover up to 37.2mpg.

One of the worlds rarest supercars will go on sale this summer in London. Lamborghini Reventn features in an exclusive Hamp;H Classics sale to be held at Londons Motorexpo in Canary Wharf 1117 June.

The Lamborghini Reventn, expected to achieve more than 1 million, was one of only 20 produced and is thought to be the only example in the UK.

The car was revealed to the public for the first time at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2007 and had an asking price of 1 million (plus local taxes). All 20 examples of the car were presold even before its unveiling.

The carbonfibre Reventn is powered by a 6.5litre V12 engine producing 650bhp and can do the 062 mph sprint in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 211mph.

As part of its Supercars and Superclassics sale, Hamp;H will be presenting an Auburn Speedster replica as well as a number of vehicles from brands such as Ferrari, Pagani, Maserati, and Koenigsegg.

Graeme Carver, Motorexpo CEO, said: The appearance, let alone sale, of a car as rare as the Lamborghini Reventn is sure to attract a large number of supercar enthusiasts and collectors to Motorexpo this summer.

But even those who cant quite justify the 1 million asking price for the Reventn can get up close to their potential next purchase be it classic or modern. Alongside Hamp;Hs impressive catalogue of vehicles a host of car manufacturers will display more than 250 new models. With ontheroad prices starting from less than 8,000 there will be a car for every buyer.

Motorexpo is open daily in Canary Wharf from 10am to 6pm (Monday 11 to Saturday 16) and 11am to 5pm on Sunday 17 June. Entry is free and the shows organisers expect to see more than 425,000 visitors.

The new Fiat Professional Punto Van 2012 will make its UK debut at this years Commercial Vehicle Show in Birminghams NEC 24 26 April.

The new Fiat Professional Punto Van replaces the Grande Punto Van in the Fiat Professional lineup.

The Italian car maker said the new model will bring a wealth of improvements over its predecessor, providing customers with a strong proposition in the carderived van market, with a load capacity of 1.0 m3 and a payload of 520 kg.

The new Fiat Professional Punto Van will feature external styling changes with fully colourcoded front and rear bumpers for a more sophisticated look. It also combines the style of both the Grande Punto and Punto Evo passenger cars resulting in the interior featuring new sportier seat fabrics with there being a new dashboard with soft touch materials and an elegant design on the SX version.

The standard equipment on all versions of the van includes ESP (Electronic Stability Programme), BAS (Brake Assistance System), remote central locking, electric front windows, electrically adjustable and heated body coloured mirrors, trip computer, driver and passenger airbags, radio/CD/MP3 player, electric power steering, height and reachadjustable steering wheel and a heightadjustable drivers seat.

The new Fiat Professional Punto Van will be available with one diesel engine, the 1.3 MultiJet II diesel, in three levels of power.

The new range starts with the entry level 1.3 MultiJet II 75hp version at 10,990.00 (exc. VAT and OTR) that features (ESP, airbags, electric windows and mirrors, radio/CD/MP3 player).

For an additional 500, the 1.3 MultiJet II 85hp version is available, with 10hp more and Startamp;Stop, having a combined fuel consumption of 80.7 MPG and CO2 emissions of 90 g/km.

The SX trim level is available in combination with the 1.3 MultiJet II 95hp, adding a further 500 to the 85hp version but providing 10hp more, manual air conditioning and a drivers knee airbag.

It will be available in three pastel colours White, Dark Blue and Red.

The Volkswagen Group s latest Sustainability Report now published provides a comprehensive overview of the organisations activities in relation to the economy, society and the environment.

One of the key objectives of the 100 page report is said to be the desire to explore the development of improvements in the environmental compatibility of products and production, as well as the encouragement of health, skills and welfare of the Volkswagen Groups 500,000plus employees across the world.

Introducing the report, Prof. Dr. Martin Winterkorn, chairman of the board of management of Volkswagen AG, and Bernd Osterloh, chairman of the general and group works councils, said: Our job, in fact our responsibility, is to safeguard the future of widespread personal mobility, keeping it affordable, safe and environmentally compatible. This is why we have recently raised the bar in terms of sustainability and have set new, ambitious goals.

The new Sustainability Report gives an overview of the Volkswagen Groups product portfolio and its environmental credentials. Currently the Group offers 155 models which emit less than 120 g/km of CO2; 28 are below the threshold of 100 g/km.

The Group is also aiming to increase further the environmental compatibility of its products, with a target to reduce the CO2 emissions of its European fleet by 30 per cent by 2015, compared to 2006. For 2015 the Group is aiming to have its fleet emissions below the key threshold of 120 g/km of CO2.

It said it is also aiming to make production at its 94 plants more resourcefriendly, with targets to make operations around the world 25 per cent more ecofriendly by 2018.

Volkswagen published its first welfare report back in the 1970s, followed by the first environmental report in 1995, and the first sustainability report in 2005. This years report has been audited in accordance with the AA1000AS standards and has been awarded the highest A rating by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).

Renault will present 12 vehicles at the CV Show at NEC Birmingham 2426 April.

The display will be the French carmakers way of underlining its continued focus on the UK market, the company announced.

Renault said it would be showcasing its full lineup at the event and will be using its current ad strapline, Trust Europes No.1 Van Manufacturer.

It will also have the 1963 made Estafette Glacier ice cream van on display. The van has been transported across the Channel from the companys extensive heritage collection.

In order of size, the French brand will be exhibiting three Kangoo Vans, including a long wheelbase version of the electric version, Z.E. In addition, it will have both the long wheelbase Maxi and the new fiveseat Crew Van Cab decked out in Sport trim.

Two people carrying versions of Trafic, Renaults highestselling LCV model Crew Van and nineseat Passenger, will sit alongside their Kangoo Van siblings done up in contemporary Sport trim with alloy wheels, air conditioning, TomTom Live satellite navigation, upgraded radio, body coloured bumpers and front fog lights.

Six Master Vans will also be on display. The first, a standard frontwheel drive panel van will round off the brands flagship Sport trim level theme, complemented by a further five versions: sixseat Crew Van, Luton LoLoader with 18.5m load volume, Master Van (RWD), 17 seat minibus and lastly, a rearwheel drive double cab version of the new UK converted Tipper range from VFS, available with a payload of up to 1,348kg.

The new Peugeot 208 prices have been announced.

Starting from 9,995 (for the 3 door VTi 68bhp Access model), the new Peugeot 208 is available on Peugeots innovative Just Add Fuel programme, which is said to have been enhanced to be available to drivers from 21 years.

The new Peugeot 208 will be available in eight engines consisting of five petrol, including the new generation 3cylinder engines, and three diesel. Peugeot said the 208 represents significant CO2, MPG and fiscal benefits across the range.

Taking many styling cues directly from the breathtaking SR1 Concept Ca, the new Peugeot 208 will be available in both 3 and 5 door body style variants.

The UK range will be offered in five trim levels namely Access, Access, Active, Allure and with an Ice Velvet Limited Edition, available from launch.

Key equipment in the new Peugeot 208 has been integrated across the range and includes the new touchscreen which will be standard on 80 per cent of sales.

The new Ford BMAXs Easy Access Door System underwent a unique test procedure to ensure it is a safe. The test was developed and implemented by the carmaker.

The new Ford BMAX integrates central body pillars into hinged front doors and sliding rear doors to create access to the compact multiactivity vehicle. However, the approach required designers and engineers to develop new crash test equipment to ensure the model met Fords safety standards.

The fiveyear testing programme included 5,000 virtual collisions and 40 realworld crashes; three years alone were devoted to providing reardoor safety. The testing process included the construction of a bespoke rig system used to test the reinforced latches.

Ford safety project manager Tom Overington said: BMAX really took us into uncharted territory. We knew from virtual simulations that the design performs well, but we had to validate this in real crash tests.

The new Ford BMAX doors are fitted with ultrahigh strength steel brackets called crash catchers that lock the doors together if the vehicle is hit in the side.

Overington said: The latches and crash catchers are crucial because they are designed to keep the doors together during a crash. We went to great lengths to test them in the virtual and the physical word.

We performed virtual cartocar crashes at a 30 degree angle into the front and rear doors to further validate the performance of the door structure. We also built a special rig to test the reinforced latch mechanism. The forces involved in these tests are massive and the doors performed exactly as expected.

In addition to being subjected to more than 5,000 computer simulated crash tests, the team conducted 40 complete crash tests and another 100 tests where the car was mounted on a sled and fired into a barrier.

Ford said that each of these physical test take four days to set up but the impact itself is over in fractions of a second.

The result is a car capable of withstanding a side impact force in excess of 165 kilonewtons, the equivalent of a small car being dropped from a height of 6.5 metres or the combined weight of three elephants.

Overington added: We are targeting a maximum fivestar safety rating when the vehicle is assessed by Euro NCAP later this year.

The new Ford BMAX on sale now from 12,995 will be in UK dealerships by September.

The threemodel new Citroen DS line consisting of DS3, DS4 and DS5 has sold over 200,000 examples worldwide since its launch two years ago. The model has sold 25,000 units in the UK alone.

The company recently visited 10 cities across the UK with a selection of models from the new Citroen DS lineup to celebrate the occasion. It gave away Easter eggs to the public and also ran a competition on Facebook and Twitter to win 200.

On 12 April, it liveried a double decker bus with DS branding and drove it through central London escorted by a DS3, DS4 and DS5.

There were reportedly 35 Citroen UK staff and a jazz band onboard to highlight the festivities and the bus stopped at several London landmarks along the route and offered promotional gifts to members of the public.

Frdric Banzet, CEO of the Citroen brand, said: If there was one fullline carmaker that could be this audacious, it would be Citroen.

Citroen is the only brand that could bring together a 2CV and a DS in its showrooms. The DS line challenge has proved an immense success, but Citroen does not intend to rest on its laurels, promising instead a surprisefilled future.

The new Citroen DS line will be launched this year in China. To mark the event, Citroen has designed a new concept car, Numro 9, which will be unveiled at the Beijing Motor Show.

The concept signals the styling cues of the next three DS line models: a Csegment premium sedan, an SUV and a Dsegment executive saloon.
