New CITROEN C1 Review:
The Citroen C1 has much in common with the Toyota Aygo and also the Peugeot 107. Both the production facility and many of the components are the same for the three vehicles. However there is one major difference, where the Citroen is likely to beat its competitors, namely its low price, which undercuts both the Toyota and Peugeot by several hundred pounds. It may not sound like a very large amount of money, but when you consider that the price region is approximately £6,000 for these three vehicles, then the lower price of the C1 is very considerable. Citroen’s goal is to seize sales of vehicles such as the Kia Picanto, Chevrolet Matriz and the Renault Twingo. It differs from its direct competitors, in that it can be bought as a three and five-door model and has an impressive amount of space in the back.

Only time will show if this is a good or bad thing. It is a soft ride and allows the bumps to be soaked up. Nevertheless the C1 isn’t a car that will ever be likely to be pushing you too hard. It offers impressive equipment, decent refinement and a lot of space for a little amount of cash. A comparison with the C2 is almost impossible, there are leagues between the two.
