In the diesel version, the 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre TDCi Duratorq engines have been redesigned to give you improved responsiveness, economy and emissions.

The 1.6 litre engine also comes with or without a coated diesel particulate filter (C-DPF) that means the exhaust particulates are automatically burnt or cleaned off the filter as the engine runs. The specially calibrated 1.6-litre 90 PS TDCi engine with C-DPF is only available on the all new Fiesta ECOnetic.

If you prefer petrol, there is a series of light alloy, 16-valve powertrains that start with the economical 1.25-litre Duratec and increase in power up to the top-of-the-range 1.6 Ti-VCT, producing a mighty 120 PS.

On the 1.4 engine only you have the choice between manual and automatic transmission.
