The Golf is the benchmark by which all other cars in this class are judged and it sits proudly at the top of the pile with bags of class and a very strong image. Volkswagen have ensured that the materials look and feel top quality, and the car's dynamics make for a rewarding drive coupled with the excellent VW Group engine range incorporating fuel-efficient FSI petrol engines with torquey and economical diesels. Golfs are traditionally a strong investment and this should be no different: it's built to last and will depreciate slowly.

One thing worth noting is that Volkswagen have recently been taking steps to prevent large discounts becoming available on their cars, and are therefore steadily removing many online brokers' pre-registered discounts. We would therefore recommend placing an auction on the basis of 1st registered deals only (this is the standard setting), which then does not expose you to the risk of your supplier losing their terms (and therefore your order).
