New CITROEN DISPATCH Review:
Highly superior to its predecessor, Citroen have taken the old Dispatch and remodelled it, with startling results. First of all it can withstand heavier loads, between 1000kg and 1200kg. It also has a larger cargo area, increased from five cubic metres to six or seven, depending on the model you choose. Citroen believe that the Dispatch can now compete at the top end alongside the Renault Trafic and Ford Transit, and we think they are right! It has the option of having two roof heights and two wheelbases, as well as being fitted with satellite navigation and vehicle tracking as standard. Three engine types are on offer, a 90bhp 1.6HDi and two 2.0HDi engines giving 120bhp and 136bhp, all having plenty of pulling power. Much of the interior has been taken right out of Citroen’s car range, making the Dispatch a more enjoyable ride. As well as being comfy, it is also a pleasantly nimble drive with good agility and light steering. This Dispatch is slightly more expensive than the last one but with all the marked improvements – along with having a low insurance group and being cheaper to run – it is definitely worth it.
