New CITROEN RELAY Review:
Citroën has really pushed the boat out with this offering of the new Relay. Even though it is a joint venture alongside its sister company Peugeot and Fiat – meaning that all three brands essentially have the same vehicle underneath – there’s something that stands it apart from the other manufacturers. Firstly, Citroen are the only maker to install anti-theft tracking devices and satellite navigation as standard. It also offers a large number of configurations, with three roof heights, three power outputs and four lengths of vehicle to choose from. The Relay has plenty of storage space too and along with the excellent driving visibility Citreon has created an excellent interior working space. It comes with the three engine options, all diesel, a 100bhp or 120bhp 2.2 litre HDi, or a 160bhp 3.0 litre HDi engine. Nimble and reactive steering is a major plus and the driver’s seat is very comfortable, though less could be said for the passenger seat. Depending on the chosen preferences, cargo load weights range from eight to 17 cubic metres. All-in-all this is a superb improvement from Citroen’s last effort and with AutoeBid providing first-class deals on the model, we are confident the Relay will compete well against similar rivals in the class.
