New PEUGEOT 407 Review:
Peugeot 407 drivers invariably seem to like their cars, which is praise indeed for a fairly run-of-the-mill motor which is focussed on affordability over exclusivity. Having said that, buyers get a huge amount for their money: equipment levels are very good and the diesel engines offer an excellent choice of economy and performance. The 2.0 HDi unit is the pick of the bunch and offers a very spirited drive, even if the powerplant is more accomplished than the chassis' slightly vague handling. Refinement is surprisingly good, quality seems to be well above average for a French manufacturer and there's plenty of space, especially with the SW estate. AutoeBid's auction gets some spectacular discounts on 407s - and there are good savings to be made on the wonderful Coupe as well.
