New SAAB 9-3X Review:
Continuing the rather aging 9-3 range, the Saab 9-3X has been produced to challenge the trendier and up-and-coming compact SUV – and it should be highly welcomed. All-in-all the 9-3X is in fact a 9-3 Sport Wagon estate with a raised ride height and added style. It looks far prettier on the inside and out with luxurious sports seats and a metallic finished dash. The Saab 9-3X has an extremely strong performance level, largely helped by the engines on offer. There are two engines to choose from, one petrol one diesel, though both have turbochargers attached. The petrol engine is a 210bhp 2.0 litre unit while an 180bhp 1.9 TTiD is the diesel alternative. The Saab’s selling point however, is the 419 litre boot. This increases to 1,287 when the rear seats are folded down. The standard model has a high equipment levels too and also profits from good safety features. Running costs are low as well, with the Saab 9-3X achieving an impressive 51mpg.
