The brand new Skoda Yeti combines a smart family hatchback with all the strength and resolve of a 4x4. It offers plenty of room for passengers all around the cabin as well as having an impressive 405 litres of boot space. The Skoda Yeti handles well too, sticking to the road with ease while a stylish and tidy interior adds further to the vehicle’s attraction. It also comes with an impressive amount of equipment as standard, though there are another three additional grades, each giving an extra level of sophistication to the ride. The choices of engine are impressive. The entry-level is a 105bhp 1.2 TSI, followed by a 160bhp 1.8 TSI. The latter can achieve a pleasantly surprising 35mpg while being able to reach 60mph in just under 8.5 seconds. A Yeti diesel engine comes in the form of a 2.0 TDI with three available outputs, either a 110bhp, 140bhp or 170bhp. The Skoda Yeti was awarded a top five star rating in the Euro NCAP crash test, proving its family car credentials. A large number of the parts used have been well tested by Volkswagen and contribute to a highly reliable car.
