The Suzuki Jimny is not a classy contender but it makes a fun entry-level off-roader which is perfect for open-top motoring. People don't buy them for their on-road refinement, power or handling - although they perform well off-road and have that "cute" look thanks to the pocket-sized proportions. The Jimny will last well and mechanicals should prove reliable, although residual values aren't brilliant. However discounts are.
