Cheshire-based Ian Pye used the service to secure over £12,500 off the price of a brand new Aston Martin DB9 Volante convertible. Ian had been saving for his dream car for months and had put away £125,000.  Yet, his local dealer quoted him list price, with no possibility of a discount.  Ian went online and through Auto eBid, set the maximum he was prepared to pay at £125,000.  After Auto eBid ran an auction, various dealers and suppliers underbid each other, with the ‘winner’ offering Ian the exact car he wanted for £121,325 -- £12,650 less than his dealer was offering and £3,675 less than his own target price.

Ian explains: “The dealer which Aston Martin put me in touch with was not prepared to give a discount, only a small gesture of goodwill.  I told the dealer my target of £125,000 , but he was not prepared to get anywhere near that. So I turned to Auto eBid.  I’m very impressed with how easy it has been to save so much money and as an added bonus, this dealer was able to deliver before the VAT increase in January.

“I’ve done something I didn’t think possible – I’ve bought a DB9 and saved enough to buy a second car for my son!”

Simple process saves thousands

Auto eBid’s unique reverse auction means customers save twice – first, by selecting Auto eBid’s guaranteed maximum price for their chosen model, which is always under the manufacturer’s RRP; then saving again, as suppliers compete for the sale.

This simple process puts the consumer back in control, saves awkward haggling in dealer showrooms and delivers greater savings on new cars than any other car-buying option.  It’s open to any customer, looking for any UK car model.

Auto eBid has earned its suppliers £53,513,343, and has saved its customers £7,656,035. The service generates an average customer saving of 15% - or £3,185 – off the retail price of a new car, with the largest single saving to date being 45% - or £18,010 – saved off the price of a new Audi A8.

The force behind Auto eBid is entrepreneur, Amin Saleem.  He said:  “Auto eBid simply puts the buyer back in control – you say what you pay.   People tell us the biggest advantage of is saving more than they ever could by haggling with a dealer, without any of the hassle.”

Auto eBid attracts all types of car buyers, with over 100,000 unique visitors each month and its most popular car is currently the new Ford Fiesta.  To meet this demand, Saleem has built an online network of dealer groups and 5,000 franchised dealers to bid for his customers’ business.
