The reason I was not happy with the transaction is that the first bidder in the auction reneged on the deal. Auto eBid were helpful in dealing with that problem, and the second (successful) bidder has proved fine. So, strong dissatisfaction with the first bidder (Mercedes ********), but happy with Auto eBid themselves and the second bidder (Mercedes *******). |

I saved £1,390 on the Manufacturer’s Recommended ‘On the Road’ price of my new VW Polo SE 1.2 TDI 3 door by using AutoeBid. Shortly after placing my requirement I received a telephone call from them suggesting how I might obtain a greater discount by amending the reverse auction term; it was a welcome intervention. Watching the dealers make their bids replaced the grind of visiting showrooms and made the whole car buying process so much easier and enjoyable for me. Although the garage agreed to deliver by the required date, this was subsequently changed, whereby the car was 2 days late. Not in itself a big issue, but retrospectively all the conditions of the bid were not therefore fulfilled. Perhaps autoebid should consider a staged payment format. |

Most of the negative experiences were as a result of less than transparent information from sellers (e.g not clearly stating vehicles were pre-registered). I was very happy with the discount on this car and the cost of AutoeBid service, though not cheap, may be off set against the time involved in contacting many individual dealers. I believe the procedure using AutoeBid could be made clearer (this may have already been done - haven't looked since buying the car 07). I would use again. Product : Car has had numerous problems with window and roof motors/sensors. Warning lights illuminating without reason. Engine management computer glitches. All rectified by Audi Maidstone in exemplary manner, but more problems than I would expect from any new vehicle, regardless of manufacturer and cost. |

As part of the autoebid process I saved a further £ 1500 - £ 2000 versus the best price obtained from personal negotiation. The car was supplied by a broker (rather than directly from a Mazda dealer) and the car had to be registered in the brokers name for 6 months. I was given a choice ast to whether to go with this arrangement or not early in the buying process - but it saved more money. The process of getting the logbook went without issues and 6 months later it arrived in the post. Very happy with the car. Yes I would use AutoeBid again - but I would do some due diligence to understand what is different with the 2009 process versus that which I used before. |

Would definitely use again. The price paid was much better than I could achieve at a dealer. The car was delivered to a hotel in England I was visiting for a wedding and I appreciated my request to have it delivered there instead of my home in Scotland on 1st September - great service. Product : The Kio Rio is an excellent buy and my wife loves it. The car is economical although not quite as the official figures would suggest - you get 50mpg. A few minor points - the styling could be a bit more exciting and a trip computer would have been nice. The radio/CD controls are a bit small but other than that the car is nippy and roomier than other cars at the same price. It is comfortable and the air con works a treat. No problems with the car - it is very reliable. |

A fantastic concept, no sales negotiation and great savings to be made.
I recently purchased a Skoda Octavia Diesel Hatchback 1.6 TDI CR S through AutoEbid. Auction ended 22/01/10 and the vehicle was delivered from the dealer to my address 23/02/10. The RRP was £15,280 but a supplier using the Autoebid system offered this model for only £10829, that was a staggering £4451 saving! Less Autoebid's fee of £347 (incl VAT) made a grand total saving of £4104. The extra savings also included the Governments scrappage scheme. Awesome!
Some points to note when using this service:
1) You get a faster response to your questions via the phone. Autoebid must receive a vast quantity of emails and it can sometimes take up to 48hrs for a response. Also note that suppliers do not always respond to emails. Once you accept the bid and Autoebid provide the necessary details use the phone to close the deal and have peace of mind.
2) Set your auction to run no longer than three days. Suppliers work on a live system which details all the cars listed in the country. In my case when the auction ended after five days the car I wanted was already taken by another dealership. Fortunately this dealer honoured their bid and found the exact same specification before shipping direct from Skoda in the Czech Republic a month later.
3) It is better to secure your deal and have the car delivered within the same month. Manufacturers can change their pricing monthly and any increase will be passed onto you by the dealership (read the small print).
4) Don't leave it till the last minute. I started my Autoebid auction two weeks before my Tax and MOT expired. Had this expired before I closed the deal I would not have been able to take full advantage of the scrappage scheme. Leave yourself at least a month, and you should find buying a car a stress free and enjoyable experience.

Autoebid was suggested to me by a work colleague, who purchased her car through you. I was feeling despondent as local MINI dealers refused to offer any discounts plus the car scrappage scheme. The whole process with Autoebid was smooth and easy.
