The Chevrolet Lacetti does exactly what it says on the tin: it's cheap, practical and well-equipped, but it really doesn't have enough to offer in order to draw comparisons with class-leading models such as the Ford Focus or VW Golf. The only engines are petrol-powered and although they offer spritely performace, economy is only average and refinement is below par. The Lacetti's harsh ride can also be rather intrusive on uneven roads, but the Chevrolet does benefit from high specification with multiple airbags and air conditioning on most models.
