Whilst we don't think much of the pink colour, the Daihatsu Charade is a surprisingly capable little city car. It looks as though it could fit a shopping basket inside, but actually has plenty of space for four people and an engine that's got enough grunt to get them from A to B without testing their patience. The Charade is happiest in the city where it can make the most of its manoeuvrability, great economy and perfect dimensions for squeezing into a tight parking space. Equipment is good and styling isn't bad - although a Ford KA carries more street cred and offers more style at a similar price (after discounts!).
