The Jeep Wrangler epitomises the Californian beach image: it's a real design classic with lots of character, but not really a car to be driven on the road since it’s distinctly rough on the tarmac and you'd need the hard top to drive it all year round. The Wrangler is far from practical with minimal space and not very comfortable, whilst safety levels are low with few protective features. Driving the Jeep off road, however, is great fun with good grip and a big 4.0 engine which gives it that extra punch - although it's expensive to run and could bleed you dry with current petrol prices!
