New AUDI R8 Review:

Audi have never before put their four rings on the front of a supercar, so many were expecting the R8 to be a let-down when it was announced as a concept that would go all the way into production. However it didn't stop hundreds of deposits being placed by Audi enthusiasts keen to be amongst the first to get their hands on the new monster - and they won't have been disappointed when the final product was unveiled. The R8 ticks all the supercar boxes: blistering pace, a rewarding drive, surprising comfort and head-turning looks.

Whilst that's great news for those who already have a build slot, if you're looking to get hold of one you'll have to wait. A long time. Unless, that is, you're prepared to pay a premium and put it out to AutoeBid auction for suppliers to bid to supply available R8s without the lengthy delivery.
