New FERRARI 599 Review:
The most pleasantly surprising aspect of the 599 is that despite it’s rocket-fuelled six litre V12 engine it is extremely soft and effortless to drive – as supercars go. With the engine originating from the Enzo it holds 612bhp and can reach up to 8400rpm, making this one seriously quick motorcar. In fact, 0-60mph takes no less than 3.7 seconds, reaching a top speed of 205mph and comes with either the manual or paddle shift gearbox. The 599 also comes with the luxury of a roomy, air conditioned cabin, not something that all high profile supercars are blessed with. Add into the debate that it is respectably comfortable and polished, and then this is definitely the finished article. The list of extras is seemingly endless too, as Ferrari offer the motoring equivalent to the candy store in order to keep buyers happy. Of course, all come at a heavy price, just as what can be expected when coming to terms with the fuel costs. The 599 has the attraction of being a very competent two-seater tourer which is easy to drive in built-up areas. Unlike a lot of supercars there is room to turn your head, while looking out of the windows is a dream compared with most minuet offerings in the same class. With light steering it is easy to park too – though we would suggest you own a secure garage before investing in one.
