New FIAT GRANDE PUNTO Review:

When Fiat launched the "Grande Punto", many people wondered what the Grande was all about. Why is Fiat's supermini now called 'large'? Whilst it may seem something of a misnomer, the new model is in fact far bigger both on the outside and inside with plenty of space for four adults (five at a bit of a squeeze) and plenty of room in the boot. So it scores strongly on practicality - and raises its game on quality, too. Whereas the old Punto felt slightly budget at times, the Grande uses better materials with a classier look and feel, and combines this with good equipment levels across the range. Behind the wheel the Grande is lively when driven by the petrol engines (especially the eager 1.4), although the extra weight of the diesels makes the car front-heavy; either way, the steering is so light that it removes much of the feedback from the drive. Refinement is excellent and the Euro NCAP 5 stars make the Grande a very safe bet. Add to that competitive pricing (and even more so with AutoeBid) and you've got a great little car.
