New TOYOTA AVENSIS Review:
It may seem fairly uninspiring but the Toyota Avensis is a fairly formidable package underneath the bland styling: it's got plenty of space, good reliability, high levels of standard equipment and some keen pricing. Behind the wheel, the engines are responsive (particularly the economical diesel line-up) and the handling is sure-footed whilst not matching up to the dynamic drive of the Mondeo or Laguna. Refinement is excellent, which makes for effortless motorway cruising - and there's room to seat four or five without any complaints. It may not have the image of the Passat but it's cheaper than its German rival and still feels classy inside.
