Disadvantages: The front seating area seems a bit tight and larger people may be uncomfortable and the slanted roof reduces headroom in the back seat. Also, visibility out of the back window is extremely poor.

The new Volkswagen CC is basically a Passat CC with some minor styling upgrades and without the name Passat.
The good thing is that it has retained the massive amount of boot space, a whopping 532 litres of volume, which makes the vehicle so appealing. It compliments this boot space with fold-down rear seats, which are extremely practical for carrying longer items.
Inside the cabin the controls are sensibly laid out and has a more up-market feel appearance than the previous Passat CC, for example the top of the range GT model comes with an extremely soft feeling full leather trim. But even the base model looks expensive as it comes equipped with satnav, climate control, bluetooth and xenon headlights as standard.
The new Volkswagen CC is available with petrol or diesel turbo charged engines, of which the most economical would get you approximately 60 mpg. The drive is very quiet and makes for an excellent cruising experience. The slightly sportier feeling CC is fitted with firmer suspension, which does not compromise comfort.
