October new car sales increased by 7% across Europe over the same period last year according to Jato Dynamics.
The UK was the strongest driver in those sales with 14.2% growth over the same period last year followed by Germany, France, Spain and Italy. Some of the counties who have suffered poor sales over recent years have seen dramatic growth of over 31% for Spain (year on year) and 9% for Italy.
Even countries who have had difficult economic conditions continued their return to growth, with Ireland (+29.8%), and Greece (+21.5%) both showing impressive signs of recovery so far this year.
