Excellent car, thoroughly recommended for its luxurious and flexible interior, ease of use.”New LAND ROVER DISCOVERY Review:
The latest generation Land Rover Discovery is packed full of technology as one would expect from a car if this calibre - and combines it with outstanding on-road and off-road capabilities. With a distinctive design offering style, practicality and seating for up to seven passengers, demand for the Discovery 3 has been high and it's won buyers over with an excellent diesel engine from the Jaguar stable which is refined, quiet and surprisingly lively. The 4.4 V8 is fast but far too thirsty at an average 19 mpg. On the open road the Discovery's ride and handling is exceptional bearing in mind it's a large 4x4 - and it feels more like a saloon to drive. Take it off-road and you'll discover that its talents are just as great in the mud, with stability and traction control combined with Hill Descent Control and the Terrain Response system. Most buyers will probably never use any of it... but that's not the point.
The Discovery promises to be a safe bet in terms of reliability and residual values (certainly for the 2.7 V6 diesel) and discounts are considerable with AutoeBid for UK Land Rover dealer supplied cars - buyers can usually save about £4800 on the diesel HSE model.
