It is extremely spacious and practical. It has the style that you have come to expect from Volkswagen and is surprisingly good to drive.Disadvantages:
For what it is the price is a bit high, and the safety features in the rear are a bit disappointing. Summary:
The new Volkswagen Caddy Life is stylish, practical, a lot of fun, and has the carbon footprint of the average sedan car. New VOLKSWAGEN CADDY LIFE Review:
The people-mover market is largely skewed to the big and cumbersome 4WD cars, however the new Volkswagen Caddy Life has a crisp corporate face that mimics the higher end Golf’s and an engine that adds pizzazz to the rather bland earlier models.
The new Volkswagen Caddy Life looks a lot better than its predecessors and with the new 2 litre turbo diesel engine it drives a lot better too. The steering is now electro-mechanical and the suspension features a McPhearson-strut front end and a beam axel suspended by leaf springs at the rear. The transmission is smooth and capable, the steering is light and direct, and it corners surprisingly well for such a tall vehicle.
The Caddy Life has a cavernous interior that oozes Volkswagen quality. It’s also extremely practical with side opening doors as standard and the rear lift-up door gives great access and protection from the weather. The second row seats are a 60:40 split which is really handy. The Caddy Life also boasts a wide range of safety features including electronic stability control, ABS brakes and dual front airbags. The standard model boasts and more efficient engine, a new dashboard design, air conditioning, multifunction display and cruise control.
