According to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) new car sales will increase by 3 % on 2012.

Their revised forecast up to 2.106 million units, representing a 49,000 unit increase on the previous estimate for 2013.

The SMMT has also forecast growth in 2014 from this year and the society is usually accurate with is forecasts.

Even new van registrations have been forecast to increase by 5.7% from last ear representing an increase of 253,000 units.

AutoeBid expects these revised figurers are partly due to the increase in UK consumer confidence and the great number of great economical new car deals available in the market.
