Jaguar XE named safest large family car
Jaguar's biggest-selling car, the XE was awarded the title after scoring highly across all of the NCAP safety categories.
The XE earned a maximum score in the side barrier impact test for adult occupant protection, giving the model an incredible 92 per cent overall total in the category.
A number of standard safety features including Autonomous Emergency Braking helped the XE secure the title, excelling in categories such as safety assist, pedestrian protection and child occupant protection.
Secretary General at Euro NCAP, Michiel van Ratingen commented on the award: "Euro NCAP gives top honours to the Jaguar XE which offers the highest levels of occupant protection and avoidance technology, and rewards the XE as Best in Class of 2015 in the large family segment.
"Euro NCAP particularly congratulates Jaguar for making all important Safety Assist features standard equipment."
