Mercedes-Benz C-Class AMG Sport Edition Deals

A special ‘run-out’ edition of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class has been announced before new-generation cars hit UK showrooms in June. Prices start at £30,170, with a choice of two frugal but powerful diesel engines.

Mercedes will be keen to move current C-Class stock off the forecourt, particularly given the stellar media reception of the new W205-generation C-Class. It means that, through AutoeBid, some spectacular savings on what is still an excellent vehicle are available.

The C-Class AMG Sport Edition will presented on all body styles – saloon, estate and coupé – and amalgamates the AMG Sport and AMG Sport Plus model lines. That means that the cars get all the AMG trimmings, which is to say bodywork, steering wheel, alloys wheels and suspension that’s 15mm lower than standard on cars, as well as tinted headlights and a high-gloss black grill. Saloon and coupé models also get an AMG boot lid spoiler to complete the exterior package.

The chief boon inside is the addition of AMG Sport Plus seats upholstered in black Artico leather with contrasting stitching. The same stitching is used on the gearstick gaiter and the door panels.

Buyers will be offered the Premium Package (£1,595 – including COMAND online with Media Interface, reversing camera, heated front seats, Lighting Package and DAB radio) or the Premium Plus Package (£2,495, adding a panoramic glass sunroof). AMG Sport Edition cars will also have the option of 18-inch seven-spoke alloy wheels (£300).

All in all, Mercedes says buyers will save 50 percent of the normal cost of upgrading to this level of spec (usually £3,000).

The C-Class AMG Sport Edition starts a £30,170 for the saloon, £31,370 for the estate, and £32,455 for the coupé. Engine choice is limited to either the 220 CDI (170hp, 68.9mpg) or the 250 CDI (204hp, 56.5mpg).
