Land Rover to make its first 2WD car

Land Rover have announced today that they will introduce their first ever two-wheel-drive model next year and will look to cash in the growing demand for greener cars and crossovers.
The compact Rangie will be based on LRX concept which was shown off a couple of years ago.
'The two-wheel-drive option will give customers the chance to benefit from lower entry-level pricing, plus CO2 and fuel economy efficiencies,' said managing director Phil Popham.
'The total SUV sector dropped slightly in 2009, from 1.26 million to 1.22 million, but two-wheel-drive sales went up by 100,000 to 274,000.'
So Range Rover have taken the plunge - a great idea or brand sacrilege?
