When to order my New 2013 13 Reg Plate car?

New 2013 Reg Plate

With the average delivery time of 12 weeks for any new car or van most new car buyers need to plan way ahead in order to make sure they get their new car at a date and time that is convenient to them.

While there are some great new car deals available for Pre Reg stock cars these tend to be cars that are ordered to the standard specification without any factory options such as Leather, Sat Nav, & Folding Mirrors.

Most new car buyers are still surprised that they have to wait such a long time to get the car of their choice and in may cases end up having to buy another car or a used car simply because they did not give themselves enough time to get their order in.

In the UK the 2 registration change periods are March and September, with the year number representing a car registered between March and August and the year number beginning with a 6 representing car registered between September and February. The current registration on a new car in the UK is represented by the 62 plate and the new registration number 13 will apply to any new vehicles registered from the 1st March 2013.

Given it takes 12 full working weeks to build you new car and taking a few unproductive weeks over Christmas for factory down time, mid November is really the latest you should leave it to get your order in for the new 13 plate reg.
